Turkish Amphora

With their obvious Greek influence, these beautiful amphoras were originally crafted to transport oil, water and wine throughout the Mediterranean. Their European heritage and iconic shape make them the perfect ‘old world touch’ in Australian contemporary landscape design.

Handcrafted exploits have formed the rich tapestry of Turkish life for generations. In fact, many of the modern techniques employed today can be traced back to Roman origins, which first came to rule in the Second Century B.C.

We were fortunate to observe and speak with various artisans as they applied their skills to a multitude of mediums. Their passion for impeccable workmanship using traditional methods is truly inspirational, and we’re thrilled to bring back highly individual pieces ingrained with each artisan’s remarkable history.
